Once worn out, can the non-stick surface be replaced?

Non-stick coatings are applied during the manufacturing process and cannot be replaced or recoated once worn out. Over time, normal wear and tear will reduce the effectiveness of the non-stick surface, and once the coating degrades, the pan will no longer perform as intended.

If your non-stick pan shows signs of heavy scratching, peeling, or significant loss of non-stick properties, it’s safest to replace the pan entirely to maintain cooking performance and safety.

To extend the life of your non-stick cookware:

  • Use gentle utensils like silicone or wooden tools

  • Avoid overheating or thermal shock

  • Hand wash with mild detergent

  • Follow manufacturer care instructions

Proper care can significantly delay the need for replacement, but once the coating is compromised, resurfacing isn’t an option.
