I have a ‘blister’ on the base of my pan – what should I do?
A blister on the base of your pan is usually caused by a “hot spot”—an area where an air bubble became trapped inside the pan’s sandwich base during manufacturing. This trapped air creates uneven heating: if the bubble pushes upwards, part of the pan won’t heat properly; if it pushes down, that spot becomes hotter than the rest. Over time, this uneven heat can cause the base to separate, warp, or even detach completely.
Another common cause of blisters is boiling the pan dry, which damages the seal between the pan’s body and its base, leading to warping and potential detachment.
If you notice this issue, please contact our Customer Services team. They will evaluate your pan and advise if the problem is covered under the manufacturer’s guarantee.
Proper care and avoiding dry boiling help prevent this issue and prolong your cookware’s life.
